所有的狗死后都会上天堂，只有少数幸运儿能返回人间。古惑狗查理受命到人间寻回在天堂遗失的号角。兴奋的查理便带着伙伴到人间玩耍和完成任务。但是，牠们却闯下大祸，碰上了麻烦，幸好在离家出走的小男孩和漂亮的美女狗萨莎的帮助下，问题才得以解决。时间越来越迫近了，查理能否顺利寻回失窃的号角呢？

When Gabriel's Horn falls from Heaven, Annabelle entrusts Charlie and Itchy to recover it. But once on Earth, Charlie falls in love with an Irish Setter named Sasha LaFleur and finds out about collars that can make him and Itchy solid again. Following Carface, they come across an elderly dog named Red, who gives them the collars for free, but warns them that they'll only last until sundown the next day. But they learn the hard way that things aren't always as they seem, and now in order to make things right, Charlie will have to make a deal with the devil.
